We are still going strong. The Unsingled group had an awesome time hanging out this weekend. Unfortunately, after almost three years, everyone in this photo is still single. But we are closer than ever and we consider each other family. Priceless!

C.G.B. had an entirely different response. She said, "Thank you Baby," and S. C, said that she would be rolling on the floor laughing. hahaha 
Wow...the ladies in the group are so different until it's not even funny. Some will enjoy; others, like me, will throw up a little.
But to each his own, right?  :)

Gary S. said that he already has three baby mama's so he cannot judge. He went with number 1.
And of course most of the guys went with number four. Who cares if their girl post porn, right? I guess.
 I said that if I had to choose it would be #1 because kids grow up, so you wouldn't have to deal with the daddies forever. Besides, nine out of ten, they are probably already missing in action.
What are your thoughts? What would you choose? And btw, no one decided to take a stab at the bi-polar/no medication broad. They're so scary!
 

How long should this take?

Original group members- We love each other but we still need love

Here's a little update...It's 2 yrs. after the single's group was created. Boy does time fly. But why is mostly everyone in the group still single? Does it really take that long to find a significant other? My answer, "Yes, it does. But why?"  Some people say wait until love finds you. My answer to that is, "How long does love take to find you, and are you in the places where love is looking?" What about online dating? How successful is that? Any suggestions? Any single friends looking for quality people to meet? Please comment.

Mostly Single Friends

It's been a year since my last post, and the group is still alive and kicking.
I guess I've ben MIA because I've been doing two things, writing a novel and dating.
There still aren't many connections within the group, but we are all still the best of friends. Since a lot of us have been dating and some are now in relationships, we decided to call ourselves "Mostly Single Friends." But the blog will keep its title and I promise to start posting more frequently...Stay Tuned

It's been so long that I almost forgot my password to this site! I apologize. I've been focusing on working things out within this singles group. Unfortunately, I cannot seem to find a breakthrough.


The summer is literally around the corner. Of course winter is a great time to be in a relationship, who doesn't wan't someone to cozy up to, but come on now...It's the summer...you're talking a whole new ball game.

Don't be shy!

I asked the question, "What are the things that you remain shy about even after spending a good bit of time dating a person?"
"Passing gas," said Marie M.      I agree.    In the words of my kids...I'd die first!
"Eating messy foods." Olga J. Said.   Most people say that they have no problem eating in front of anyone, but I'd have to say that it takes me a while to get comfortable eating in front of my boo too. They probably couldn't tell because I'm so smooth with mine, but I am a little shy about that for a while.
#2.   Do you know what we mean by that?   Right!! We will not shit in front of you or even in the same house with ya! Ok Bye!! Gotta go.

I asked the crazy little crew of "Unsingled" the question...What is the one thing that you do not want to hear in a relationship that you THOUGHT was going well?

I said...the words..."Slow Down!" To me that means that you two are on different pages, and the last thing I want is to be in a relationship where the feelings are not mutual, so to me those words mean...I might do a little more than slow down. I might be out!

Being in a relationship can be so rewarding. I've decided to ask the group what in particular did they love while in a relationship. I can think of a laundry list....I'll start with1. The way he looks at me. 2. The way he smiles at me as soon as he sees my face. 3. His touch. 4. His kiss.

Seems as though we are all eager to watch the new episode of Scandal tonight, and while we await, although our subject was totally unconnected to the television show Scandal, seems as though our post were oddly related...we could not seem to stay away from the subject of Cheaters.

I am so excited about the new year and all of the possibilities!! I fell off of the blog a little at the end of 2012, focusing on different ways to connect singles, and fortunately...a few connections have been made,  but this year I plan on utilizing every possible avenue to make these connections more available and more plentiful!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my Single Friends out there! I think that we are all most grateful for all of the new friendships that have been made through this singles network...however, we are delighted that there have been a couple of wonderful connections!! hopefully we will see many more as we approach the New Year!!

How do you deal with a controlling ex?

The question was...Has an ex caused a problem in a new relationship or are you the trouble-maker in your ex's new relationship? What is the problem and please don't use the kids as an excuse.  Lol

Jermaine W. said something that made all of the sense in the world...It's funny how you can meet someone and go out for months and the baby daddy has been out of the picture forever, and now suddenly he wants his family back since he knows that someone else is in the picture. It's sad and crazy to hear a brother saying, "I don't want him around my baby," but you aren't the father you need to be. -J.W.

Is runner-up a bad thing?

Everyone wants to be with the man or woman of their dreams, but reality is that most people do not end up with that person. Should you wait on that person even if they are not yet ready for that role, with hopes that they will come around or do you embrace your second choice, someone that you may not like as much as your number 1, but there is no doubt that you are their #1?

Expectations

One of our singles, Baheejah H. went on a date last week in which she had to pick him up (no, he was not a fellow group member) and apparently he did not even offer to buy gas or be gentlemanly because she ended the date within 20 minutes and posted the following.....When newly dating someone, do you impose your expectations, such as opening a door, pumping the gas, or picking up the check; or do you just go with the flow and make mental notes? Most members felt that she should not have ended the date so prematurely and that gas should already be in your vehicle, but the following members thought this...
