He Says/Dee Says

A guy that I've recently met returned a text with a phone call. We have never conversed via telephone before and I think that it was rude of him to not at least text me and ask if it was okay to give me a call. I in turn, I did not answer and it's been 5 days and we've never talked since. Am I being unreasonable? -D. Miller

He Says- "Some of you will never have nice things!!!" I understand the call vs. text preference, there is nothing wrong with that, to each his own...but to insinuate that the guy was rude/wrong/slow/out of line, to call  is INSANE! Next time just give out an email address and there'll  be no ambiguity.

Dee Says-A phone conversation is so intimate. I think that he should have asked if it was okay to call on the very first phone conversation. Could have been too busy to talk on the phone at the moment, and all that could be spared is a random text in between getting things done. It should be jointly decided, by saying, "Hey, I want to hear your voice, can I call you?" Or, "Are you busy? Is it too late to call?"

He Says- Wait, wayment!!!! Isn't giving him your phone number giving him permission to call? Who gives someone their phone number and says, " but don't call me until you text me first to see if it's ok to call. "I can't with that. I will not!" I will text your number to you and say. "Here, you can have this back."

Dee Says- Good point, Ray D. Maybe it wasn't rude, but he still should have asked first.
